Revenue methodology

Confirmed evidenced revenue projections with atomic units and UTC periods.

Evidence boundary

Public revenue is derived only from evidence-backed observations whose settlement state is CONFIRMED. A request, invoice, quoted price, pending transaction, or unverified provider report is not revenue. Reversed and disputed observations remain in the audit history but do not contribute atomic units to a projection.

Methodology version 1 builds calendar-month UTC periods with half-open boundaries: [periodStart, periodEnd). A February period therefore ends at midnight UTC on March 1. Each projection is keyed by one canonical asset; no conversion, price interpolation, or cross-asset aggregation occurs.

Units and quality fields

  • confirmedGrossUnits, confirmedRefundUnits, confirmedFeeUnits, and confirmedNetUnits are decimal strings of atomic units.
  • The asset object identifies the canonical asset and reports CAIP-19, symbol, and decimals when known.
  • sourceCoveragePpm is the confirmed-observation count divided by all observed settlement records in that exact asset/month dimension.
  • confidencePpm expresses confidence in the confirmed evidence, separately from coverage.
  • sourceWatermark identifies the included evidence boundary without exposing internal database identifiers.
  • sources repeats gross, refunds, fees, net, coverage, and observation count for each exact source kind; source kinds are never silently combined in that breakdown.

If every observation in a previously projected period becomes reversed or disputed, repair removes that public projection. Rebuilds preserve stable public projection IDs for periods that still exist.

Query semantics

The revenue endpoint can filter by exact asset, half-open period range, methodology version, minimum coverage, minimum confidence, and freshness. freshness=CURRENT excludes projections older than maxAgeSeconds; freshness=ANY returns them with explicit stale and ageSeconds fields. Signed cursors bind all filters and the entity ID.

Revenue is not profit, treasury balance, token value, or a forecast. Consumers must retain the asset, atomic-unit basis, period, coverage, confidence, methodology version, and projection timestamp when presenting it.
